EHCI-Jeremie Francone and Laurence Nigay developed a technology that allows iPad 2 screen shave 3D screen effects, and totally do not need 3D glasses, not by the acceleration sensor to determine the location of the screen move.
This technique is the use of FaceTime iPad 2 screen in front of cameras to track people's head, to determine the angle, and computing the corresponding picture. Although it sounds simple, but the results look very good. Theoretically, this technology as long as a front camera can be used. If Apple would like to 3D screen in competition with Nintendo 3DS, this method seems to be more simple. But this technique seems not perfect, the developer show the action is still relatively slow, and the front camera angle by more than the General Assembly appear to track the situation. This is a clever realization of 3D display methods!
